Product details

About this product.

Written for this product by the factory: what it is, where it is used, and what can be changed about it.

Custom Embroidered PU Leather Patches, Labels & Keychains

Bring together the textured appearance of PU leather and the stitched detail of embroidery. Lovecolour manufactures custom embroidered PU leather patches and labels for clothing, hats and bags, along with embroidered keychains and bag charms for retail collections, souvenirs and promotional merchandise.

Customize your product with embroidered logos, English lettering, animal illustrations, characters or decorative patterns. Choose a design that leaves the PU texture visible or uses extensive embroidery coverage for a more thread-focused appearance.

For keychains and hanging charms, single-sided and double-sided embroidery are available. Both sides can feature the same artwork or different designs.

This product range uses PU leather, also called faux leather, rather than genuine leather.

Choose Your Product Format

Develop an attached brand label, a decorative patch or a hanging accessory using your own artwork. Each format is planned around its intended placement, appearance and construction.

Product Format Typical Applications What to Confirm
Embroidered PU Leather Patches Jackets, hats, backpacks and garment decoration Shape, embroidery coverage, placement and attachment requirements
Embroidered PU Leather Labels Apparel branding, denim, headwear and bag collections Lettering size, visible PU area and space for sewing
Embroidered PU Leather Keychains Car keys, retail accessories, souvenirs and promotional gifts Front and back artwork, attachment tab and keychain hardware
Custom Embroidered Bag Charms Handbags, tote bags, backpacks and character merchandise Recognizable outline, finished size and balanced hanging position

Single-Sided & Double-Sided Embroidered Keychains

Close-up of overlapping patches including a black SECURITY patch with an American flag and a burgundy bird patch.

A keychain or bag charm can rotate during use. Planning both sides helps create a finished accessory that looks intentional from either direction.

Single-Sided Embroidery

Place your embroidered logo, lettering or character on the front, with a non-embroidered PU reverse. This is an option when one main design is the focus. The reverse appearance and finished construction are confirmed during sampling.

Double-Sided Embroidery with the Same Design

Repeat the same artwork on both sides for consistent branding when the accessory turns. For lettering or directional illustrations, confirm how each side should appear when viewed independently.

Double-Sided Embroidery with Different Designs

Use one design on the front and another on the back. Combine a character with your brand name, a destination illustration with a souvenir message, or a logo with a short slogan.

  • Front: animal or character illustration; back: brand name.
  • Front: company logo; back: campaign message.
  • Front: destination artwork; back: souvenir lettering.
  • Front and back: different designs from the same collection.

For an accurate quotation: send separately labeled front and back artwork. Both designs must work within the agreed outer shape, dimensions and attachment layout. Single-sided and double-sided versions are quoted according to their respective construction.

Customization Options for Your PU Leather Design

PU Base Colors & Textures

Select a PU base that complements your artwork and product collection. Exposed PU areas highlight the leather-like texture, while broader embroidery coverage emphasizes the thread detail. Base material and embroidery thread colors are selected separately.

Custom Shapes & Sizes

Create rectangular labels, rounded patches, geometric shapes or character-shaped charms. Provide the finished width and height, and indicate whether the dimensions of a hanging accessory include its attachment tab or metal hardware.

Compact shapes suit small brand labels, while larger designs provide more room for embroidered lettering and illustrations. Thin projecting parts and intricate outlines need review before production.

Embroidered Logos, English Lettering & Characters

Customize brand names, wordmarks, animal illustrations, mascots and decorative motifs. Clear outlines and well-spaced lettering help preserve recognition at the finished size.

For English text, provide the exact spelling and preferred font reference. Small letters or closely spaced details may require adjustments during artwork review.

Partial or Extensive Embroidery Coverage

Use selective embroidery to retain visible PU texture, or request extensive coverage for a more embroidered appearance. Full-coverage designs are assessed according to the artwork, finished size and selected material.

Stitch density should suit the design and PU base. Increasing density alone does not guarantee clearer detail or a better finish.

Edge Appearance & Perimeter Stitching

The outer shape, border width and perimeter stitching influence the finished appearance. Confirm whether the edge should blend with the artwork or create a contrasting frame. Essential lettering and graphics should remain clear of cutting and assembly areas.

Key Rings, Clasps & Attachment Positions

Grid of fabric keychain samples showing split rings, swivel clips, chains, cord loops and carabiner-style attachments.

For keychains and bag charms, specify your preferred hardware style, finish and attachment position. Available components and their suitability are confirmed with the quotation.

Hardware should be considered alongside the product size and hanging direction, rather than selected only by color.

Color References

Provide Pantone references or physical samples when color accuracy is important. Matching depends on available PU materials and embroidery threads. Confirm the selected material and thread combination through a sample.

Artwork Guidance for Clear Embroidery

Embroidery converts artwork into stitches. A design that looks sharp on a large screen may need adjustment when produced as a small label or keychain. Reviewing the artwork at its actual finished size helps identify these issues before sampling.

  • Keep lettering readable: give small letters sufficient height and spacing.
  • Separate fine details: closely spaced outlines and tiny character features may merge when stitched.
  • Balance embroidery coverage: plan the stitch layout around the PU material and desired appearance.
  • Allow space around the edges: keep important artwork away from cutting lines and assembly stitching.
  • Plan the hanging position: place the attachment so the character or logo sits in the intended direction.
  • Define both sides: label front and back files clearly and confirm their orientation.

Vector artwork is helpful when available. A clear, high-resolution image can also be used for initial review. Include the required dimensions, exact text and color references.

If your illustration contains gradients or very small details, send the original file for assessment before deciding which elements should be embroidered.

Applications for Apparel Brands, Bag Collections & Souvenirs

Assorted patches on white fabric, including BEST WIFE EVER, BEST HUSBAND EVER, a bird and a SECURITY American flag design.

Clothing & Streetwear Labels

Use embroidered PU labels for brand names, decorative lettering and logo details on jackets, denim and other apparel. Confirm the placement and care requirements of the finished garment during development.

Hat & Headwear Patches

Develop a patch sized for the intended front, side or rear position. Share the hat style and available attachment area so the patch dimensions and sewing space can be reviewed.

Bag Labels & Decorative Charms

Add an attached label or a separate hanging charm to handbags, totes and backpacks. A coordinated design can connect the bag branding with an accessory collection.

Character Keychains & Retail Accessories

Create embroidered animal or character keychains with custom PU colors and outlines. Double-sided artwork gives you space for both an illustration and brand identification.

Tourist Souvenirs & Promotional Merchandise

Develop destination-inspired illustrations, event designs or branded characters for souvenir and promotional projects. Include quantities per design when requesting a quotation for a collection.

Attachment & Care Requirements

For apparel labels, assess a sample on the intended fabric and under the care conditions of the finished garment. Iron-on backing, heat resistance and machine-wash suitability should not be assumed for every PU material.

For bag charms and keychains, confirm the intended use and handling conditions during development. Care requirements depend on the selected PU material, embroidery and finished construction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these patches made from genuine leather?

No. This product range uses PU leather, also called faux leather. The material texture, color and thickness are confirmed for each project.

Can you make double-sided embroidered PU leather keychains?

Yes. Keychains can feature embroidery on one side or both sides. Double-sided versions can use matching artwork or different designs.

Can the front have a character and the back have my brand name?

Yes. Send separate artwork for the front and back, along with the finished dimensions. Both designs are reviewed within the same outer shape and attachment layout.

Can you make custom-shaped animal or cartoon bag charms?

Yes. Custom outlines can follow your animal, character or other artwork. Fine projecting details and the hanging position need assessment during design review.

Can I request full embroidery coverage?

Yes. Full-coverage embroidery can be requested. Feasibility depends on the artwork, finished size and selected PU material. Sampling confirms the resulting appearance and construction.

Can embroidered PU labels be used on clothing, hats and bags?

Yes. They can be developed for these applications. Tell us the intended placement and attachment method so the dimensions and edge area can be planned accordingly.

Are these supplied with iron-on backing?

Iron-on backing is not assumed for this product range. Heat compatibility and attachment requirements must be checked for the selected PU material and the item receiving the patch.

Can you match my brand colors?

Send Pantone references or a physical sample for review. PU base colors and embroidery threads are selected separately, and the available match should be confirmed through sampling.

What affects the quotation?

Price depends on size, embroidery detail and coverage, single- or double-sided construction, PU material, hardware, quantity and packaging. Include both artworks when requesting a double-sided design.

What are the MOQ and production time?

MOQ and timing are confirmed after reviewing your design, construction and quantity. Include your required delivery date so the proposed schedule can be assessed.

Can I approve a sample before bulk production?

Yes. Custom sampling is available. Sample cost and timing are provided with the quotation.

What information should I send for a quotation?

Send your artwork, finished size, quantity per design, product format, preferred colors and intended application. For keychains, specify single-sided or double-sided embroidery and your hardware requirements.

Before it is quoted

What applies to every custom order.

These are the general rules for custom work from this factory, not figures for this item. Where the specification above carries a buying or lead-time note for this product, that note is the one that applies to it.

01

Artwork review

Logo proportion, small text, fine lines, stitch direction, density, thread colour, border, final size and backing are checked at the finished size before anything is quoted. If the artwork does not suit the process, we say so and propose the size, the simplification or the process that will hold it.

02

Sample approval

A physical sample is produced and approved before bulk, and the approved sample becomes the production standard for that run and for every reorder. Custom samples are usually chargeable.

03

Minimum order

A standard MOQ applies to each product; for many custom items it starts at around 100 pcs, with limited flexibility by process and order structure. Below the standard MOQ the unit price can rise, so the figure is confirmed for your specification rather than published as one number.

04

Lead time

Bulk production usually takes 7–12 days after artwork approval. Rush orders are reviewed case by case against capacity, material, process, artwork status, sample requirements and shipping method, and are not promised before that check.

05

Inspection

Colour matching, logo proportion, small-text clarity, stitching and thread colour, dimensions, backing, material, quantity and packing are compared with the approved sample, and how deep the inspection goes follows the risk of the order.

06

Packing & shipping

Individual, OPP or custom bag, backer card, barcode, SKU label, carton mark, retail, neutral and white-label packing — packed for the route the goods take after the factory.

Product inquiry

Ask about this product.

Send what you have — a logo file, a photograph of a sample you already own, or a written specification. If you are not sure which process or which backing this product needs, say what it will be used for and we will tell you which one holds the design.

What the inquiry should carry

  • Artwork or logo file
  • Size
  • Quantity
  • Material and backing
  • Packaging requirement
  • Application and destination
  • Required delivery date

A new inquiry is normally answered within about an hour in working time. If the artwork is not ready yet, send the brief without it — the quotation follows once the specification and the file are confirmed, and nothing is guessed at in the meantime.

A figure or a range is fine.

What are you making, and by when?

PDF, AI, EPS, PSD, PNG, JPG or ZIP, up to 20 MB. A photograph of a sample you already have is usually enough to start.

Your name, email and message are required; everything else is optional, and the file can follow later if it is not ready.
