A clean vector outline is only a starting point. The production cut line also needs to account for the position of the embroidery, the background material and the finished patch size. If it runs too close to an important stitch, a letter or a narrow connecting section, the physical result may not match the appearance of the digital mockup.
When sending artwork, identify the exact outer silhouette you want and mark any points, gaps or corners that cannot be changed. If you do not have a separate cut-line file, share the original design and desired finished dimensions for artwork review.

There is no responsible universal cutting distance for every artwork and fabric. The spacing should be approved on a physical sample made at the intended size.

The design does not need the maximum possible number of cuts to look custom. Sometimes a simpler outer line keeps the important embroidered detail clearer and makes the patch easier to handle. These are different finishes. A precision-cut patch does not automatically have a thick stitched frame. If that framed look is required, specify it in the artwork and review the construction during our embroidery process.

What Should Be in the Artwork Package?
For an OEM or wholesale inquiry, send the original artwork, desired finished width and height, quantity for each design, thread color references, intended backing and a photo or description of the receiving product. If the cut line is essential to the brand mark, provide it as a separate clearly identified outline. Tell us which small gaps, points and details must remain.
If your project combines flat embroidery with a raised or fuzzy texture, identify the intended materials and effects. A picture of a textured character patch does not, by itself, define the embroidery process or cutting specification. Discuss that construction before requesting a like-for-like quotation.
Physical Sample Approval: Look Beyond the Front View
Place the sample on the actual cap, garment, bag or merchandise item. Check the outside dimensions, contour, narrow sections, stitch placement and visible edge. Turn the patch over and review the selected backing as well. If several designs are included in the project, approve each distinct cut line rather than assuming one sample covers all shapes.

How We Control a Bulk Order with Multiple Shapes
For bulk production, the approved artwork and physical sample should establish the contour for each design. Relevant checks include finished size, outline consistency, cut-line alignment with the embroidery, thread color, edge appearance, backing, quantity per design and packing. Separating different shapes and colorways in the order breakdown also reduces the risk of mixing variations during packing.

What Affects the Wholesale Price?
Finished size, embroidery coverage, stitch count, outline complexity, number of designs, backing, order quantity and packing requirements affect the quotation. Two patches with the same maximum width may require different work if one has a simple contour and the other has multiple small projections and inward corners.

Are laser cut embroidered patches embroidered or printed?
The design on this product is embroidered with thread. The cutting process defines the outer shape; it does not replace the embroidery. Mixed-material or printed designs require separate specification.
Can the cut line follow every tiny detail of my logo?
Not always. Very narrow points, gaps and inward corners need review at the finished size. Some details may be clearer as embroidery inside a simpler outside contour.
How close can the cut line be to the stitches?
