What it is
Leather cut to shape and sewn on.
A leather label is cut from leather — or from PU where a non-animal material is required — into a patch, tab or strap shape, edge-finished, and sewn onto the garment, bag or cap. The surface is the material itself rather than a woven or printed tape, which is what makes this the label that reads like hardware: it is chosen for denim, bags, headwear, workwear and heritage styles, where the branding is meant to look like part of the product rather than a tag inside it.
Material & finishing
Leather or PU, with the edge finished.
The material is quoted as leather or PU in the finish you specify, cut to the shape and size you need, and edge-finished so it can be handled and sewn without a raw edge left against the seam. Colour and surface are matched against a material sample rather than a screen: leather and PU vary by batch and by surface, and the sample you approve is the standard for the run and for every reorder.
Attachment & placement
Sewn on as a patch, tab or strap.
Placement decides the shape — a patch sewn flat onto denim, a bag panel or a cap, or a tab or strap at an edge. It is a sewn-on structure, so the position, the shape and the finished size are confirmed on the spec sheet before sampling: a leather label cannot be repositioned once it has been sewn in.
How an order runs
From material sample to a repeatable label.
The material and the finish are sampled and approved first, the shape and the size are fixed against the placement, and bulk production is checked on dimensions, edge finishing, colour and consistency with the approved sample. Because the material reference and the approved sample stay with the project record, a replenishment order comes back as the same label rather than as a near miss.
Before you order
What we need before this can be quoted.
- Artwork
- Vector artwork is ideal — AI, PDF, EPS or SVG with fonts outlined — and a high-resolution raster file also works. Send it with the product type, size, quantity, material, backing, packing requirement, application and the date you need the goods in hand.
- Sample
- A physical sample is produced and approved before bulk, and the approved sample becomes the production standard for that run and every reorder. Custom samples are usually chargeable, and by agreement the sample fee can be credited against the bulk order.
- Quantity
- Each product has its own standard MOQ, and for many custom items it starts at around 100 pcs. There is limited flexibility depending on the process, the artwork and how the order is put together, and below the standard MOQ the unit price may increase. The figure for your specification is confirmed during review.
- Colour
- Pantone is used as a production reference: thread colour card, PVC colour sample, material sample or a physical sample. Screens and materials never match exactly, so where colour is critical we work from the reference you supply and sign it off on the sample.
- Lead time
- Bulk production usually takes 7–12 days after artwork approval. Rush orders are accepted but confirmed case by case against capacity, material, process, artwork status, sample requirement, shipping method and the date you need it — so we do not promise a rush date before those are checked.
- Packing
- Individual packing, OPP or a custom bag, backer cards, barcode and SKU labels and carton marks as required — plus neutral and white-label packing where the goods ship straight into your own fulfilment line.
