What it is
A leather tag, not a moulded charm.
A leather keychain is a tag or a strap cut from leather — or from PU where a non-animal material is required — with the edge finished so it can be handled every day, and the ring, hook or clip assembled to it. The mark is carried on the leather itself rather than on a woven or printed surface, which is why the piece reads closer to a bag fitting than to a giveaway.

Material is quoted as leather or PU in the finish you specify, and the edge is finished rather than left raw. Surface and colour are matched against a material sample rather than a screen: leather and PU vary by batch and by surface, so the sample you approve is the standard for the run and for every reorder.
Assembly & hardware
The tag, the edge and the ring.
The tag is cut to shape, the edge is finished, and the hardware — split ring, hook, clip or swivel — is matched to the material and assembled here, so the piece leaves as one checked item instead of as parts that meet in your warehouse. The closure is inspected because it is the part that fails first, and the finished size of the tag is confirmed on the spec sheet before sampling.
Where it is used
Bags, keys, luggage and premium merch.
Leather tags and straps are bought for denim and bag brands, for premium merch and gift lines, for e-commerce and retail lines where the keychain ships with the product, and for tourist, museum and city souvenir ranges that start with a small run and then repeat it. A design that proves itself is reproduced from the approved material reference and sample rather than being redeveloped.
Before you order
What we need before this can be quoted.
- Artwork
- Vector artwork is ideal — AI, PDF, EPS or SVG with fonts outlined — and a high-resolution raster file also works. Send it with the product type, size, quantity, material, backing, packing requirement, application and the date you need the goods in hand.
- Sample
- A physical sample is produced and approved before bulk, and the approved sample becomes the production standard for that run and every reorder. Custom samples are usually chargeable, and by agreement the sample fee can be credited against the bulk order.
- Quantity
- Each product has its own standard MOQ, and for many custom items it starts at around 100 pcs. There is limited flexibility depending on the process, the artwork and how the order is put together, and below the standard MOQ the unit price may increase. The figure for your specification is confirmed during review.
- Colour
- Pantone is used as a production reference: thread colour card, PVC colour sample, material sample or a physical sample. Screens and materials never match exactly, so where colour is critical we work from the reference you supply and sign it off on the sample.
- Lead time
- Bulk production usually takes 7–12 days after artwork approval. Rush orders are accepted but confirmed case by case against capacity, material, process, artwork status, sample requirement, shipping method and the date you need it — so we do not promise a rush date before those are checked.
- Packing
- Individual packing, OPP or a custom bag, backer cards, barcode and SKU labels and carton marks as required — plus neutral and white-label packing where the goods ship straight into your own fulfilment line.
